Power banks have become absolute must-have gadgets for smartphone owners who are always on the go. It’s when you experience an unexpected power outage or a lack of wall outlet nearby that you truly feel the power of the power bank.

Power banks are upgraded each year to suit the needs of the ever-changing smartphones. Say you bought a power bank three years ago for an iPhone. You might want to swap this for a new one that supports the Lightning port.

Here is a rundown of the best power banks money can buy this year:

1. Anker PowerCore

Anker PowerCore is hands down the best power bank when it comes to capacity. The battery size is colossal and you can get it for around $50 online.

The Specs

The Anker PowerCore packs a capacity of 20,100mAh. This is huge even by power bank standards.

This power bank is the perfect smartphone companion. The brand recommends you use it with Android and iOS smartphones (sorry, Windows).

This power bank supports high-speed charging via VoltageBoost and PowerIQ. Unfortunately, it doesn’t support Qualcomm QuickCharge.

The overall design of the smartphone is cubic and simple. Nothing much is on the device. There’s a power button, four LED lights to indicate the charge, and the charging ports. That’s it.

The smoothly designed charger weighs around 350g. So it’s just lightweight enough to carry, but heavy enough to feel in your pocket.

Performance

This power bank is best suited for smartphones and tablets. You can ideally charge an average smartphone several times a day or week with this power bank.

Think about it. The average smartphone has a battery capacity of about 3,000mAh. That means you can charge your smartphone to full battery roughly 6 times per day!

Charging is via USB ports. It takes about 10 hours to charge the power bank to full, which can be a bummer. You can slightly speed up the process by using a USB-C port instead.

Charging the devices is similar to charging using a wall outlet. For example, an iPhone X takes about two hours to charge to full.

So this is not the power bank for light speed charging. What this power bank is great for capacity and functionality.

Highlights:

  • Massive capacity
  • Support for high-speed charging
  • Minimalist design
  • Highly smartphone compatible

2. Flux Charger Plus

This is the updated version of the Flux Charger. The new design comes with a sleek outlook and some specs to die for. Consider this a brief Flux Charger Plus review.

The Specs

This charger is gorgeously designed with a sleek surface, slim profile, and soft edges. If you didn’t know better, you might confuse it for an Apple gadget.

The power bank is not just about looks. It packs 10,000 mAh of capacity. The charge can last several weeks.

The device comes with its own built-in cords to charge smartphones. You don’t need to buy extra cables.

This power bank is compatible with Android and iPhones. It supports iPhones and other such devices with Lighting and micro-USB ports. The output for two micro-USB ports is 2.1A (10.5W) and 7.5W for Lightening.

The entire package weighs just 88g. That’s significantly lightweight compared to other power banks on this list.

Performance

The upgraded Flux Charger costs slightly over the Anker PowerCore for less capacity. However, the other features of the gadget make up for it.

The slim profile makes this power bank really easy to carry, even in your pocket. It’s not cumbersome and you’ll barely feel it when carrying. Plus, the cord-free nature is an extra convenience.

The power bank is conveniently compatible with multiple gadgets too, including tablets and cameras. Charging time is just decent, given that this power back doesn’t support quick charging of any time. However, charging isn’t slowed down as a result.

With the 10,000mAH capacity, you can expect to charge an average smartphone several times. You can be assured that this power bank is sufficient to charge a smartphone at least three times in a single charge.

Overall, this is truly one of the best power banks unveiled this year. It’s portable with just enough capacity to make traveling with digital gadgets all the more convenient.

Highlights:

  • Slim profile
  • Upgraded design
  • In-built cords
  • Top-notch capacity
  • Lightning and micro-USB support

3. RAVPower Ace

Looking for a power bank to charge multiple devices at once? Then RAVPower Ace might be the best choice for you.

The Specs

RAVPower Ace is packed with a number of drool-worthy features. Let’s start with the capacity: it’s a whopping 22.000mAh. It’s possibly one of the biggest power banks (in terms of capacity) that money can buy.

Complementing the massive battery power are three USB ports. You can charge up to three devices at once. The USB ports support an output of up to 5.8A / 5V and an input up to 2.4A / 5V.

The exterior of the power bank is very well designed. It’s not exactly slim, but it’s very solid. The casing is made from the same plastic material BMW and Mercedes Benz uses for car interiors, according to the manufacturer.

The power bank comes in a lovely package that includes a travelling pouch and two micro-USB charging cables. Each cable is 30cm long.

Performance

This power bank looks and feels quite spectacular. It’s sturdy and not too heavy to carry. It’s not ultra-portable, but it does the job.

The most bankable feature of this power bank is the multi-device charging capacity. You can plug-in three devices at once. The output speed depends on how many devices you plugin.

The gadgets charge relatively fast with just one device. But the output slows down to 2.5V when all three USB ports are occupied. This doesn’t support QuickCharge so adjust your expectations accordingly.

That may not matter to people who would prefer this power bank for the sheer capacity it offers. Overall, this power bank is efficient and highly convenient for owners of big smartphones.

Highlights

  • Massive 22,000mAH capacity
  • Three output ports
  • Luxury-car grade plastic exterior
  • Purchase includes cables and travel pouch

4. Aukey Power Bank

Aukey offers one of the best priced large capacity power banks for 2019. The brand has been around for a while. The latest version is definitely an improvement over previous releases.

Specs

The Aukey costs less than $50, but it has a massive capacity of 20,000mAh to rival the Anker PowerCore. Plus, there are two inputs—dual 3.4A USB ports.

The power bank allows users to charge two devices in one go. The charger is compatible with both Android and iOS devices. It works with iPhones including Xs, Xs Max, and the latest iPad Pro.

The overall design is deceptively simple. The power bank doesn’t sport a slim design, but it’s portable enough. The power bank comes with a number of built-in safety features that prevent overcharging, overheating, and over-currents.

The power bank delivers something called an adaptive charge. The USB ports have a feature called AiPower. It allows both ports to work at once without risking a slowdown.

The who package comes with a micro-USB cable and a 45-day money-back guarantee. The product has a 1-year warranty and you will get a user manual too.

Performance

Despite the budget price, this power bank is amazingly functional. It can charge an iPad Pro from near-zero battery to full 1.4 times. You can charge a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 four times, and an iPhone Xs 6 six times.

The Aukey is amazingly efficient when charging due to AiPower. It doesn’t have QuickCharge, but charging times aren’t excessive for multiple devices.

Users would be relieved to know of the built-in fire and heat protection safeguards the device comes with. In summary, this is a great power bank that is well worth the price tag.

Highlights

  • Super affordable
  • Large capacity
  • Dual charging available
  • Warranty and guarantee upon purchase
  • Built-in overheat protection

5. Mophie Powerstation Plus XL

Mophie Powerstation Plus XL is considered the best power bank for iPhones and iPads. It’s not cheap, though. So if you are an iPhone owner with no coins to spare, this might be what you are looking for.

The Specs

The Mophie packs 10,000mAh of capacity. However, that’s not what makes this power bank shine. Uniquely enough, the Mophie has a built-in Lightning cable that works with any Qi charger.

This power bank has two ports to charge two devices at once. In addition to the embedded Lightning port, there’s also a 2.1A 10W USB-A port.

This gadget is very slim and lightweight, in the style of other Apple devices. Rather than a hard plastic exterior, the Mophie is covered in a soft fabric casing.

Performance

The Powerstation is the ideal power bank if you have an iPhone or an iPad made before 2018. With only a USB-A port, there’s not much use for Android devices.

Users should note that the Mophine doesn’t work with iPad Pros equipped with USB-C ports. The device only supports USB-A as specified.

The lightweight and stylishly designed power bank is otherwise an ideal companion to your iOS device. It works seamlessly with the Apple devices. Charging is efficient and wireless charging is available via Qi.

The best feature, of course, is the integrated Lightning port. You won’t have to carry around cables anymore.

Everything is adequate, except for the price. The large XL version of the Powerstation costs $100 or more. On the plus side, the charger is available in a variety of colors too.

Highlights

  • Made for iPhones and iPads
  • Embedded Lightning port
  • Includes USB-A port for dual device charging
  • Solid capacity
  • Stylish design with a fabric exterior

When buying a power bank, look at the capacity in terms of the price. Additionally, check for compatibility as well. Most users forget that power banks are not universally compatible with handheld devices.

Once you know which features you prefer, choose any power bank from the list above. You will not find any better choices as of now this year.

Submit Product Review

No two words bring both dread and exhilaration to e-commerce ventures than product reviews. Some businesses are obsessed with it, while others still wonder if reviews are worth all the trouble.

When you really think about it, product reviews have always been around. Major products like movies and music made it to the top 10 charts based on critics’ reviews. These days, though, anyone can write a review and post it online.

These reviews are not always benign feedback. In fact, product reviews contribute to a digital marketing strategy more significantly than most businesses think. Reviews contribute to search engine optimization, customer engagement, and many other aspects of driving traffic.

Continue reading to learn more about why product reviews are important for your e-commerce business:

Product Reviews are Major Contributors to SEO

To understand the significance of product reviews, let’s go back to search engine optimization. What are the three most important aspects of SEO? They are:

  • Authority
  • Relevance
  • Discoverability

Product reviews contribute to all three in one way or another. Reviews are either generated by customers or professional reviewers. Both groups are considered trustworthy parties, especially the latter. Therefore, when a product posted online has a genuine review, it naturally boosts the legitimacy of the listing.

Product reviews are a great way to boost the credibility and trustworthiness of a brand or product. The internet is cluttered with scams, spam, and fake postings. A real review, thus, indicates the real deal to a search engine algorithm.

Reviews are added over time to a listing so that the page can remain relevant as algorithms demand. Similarly, more reviews mean more discussion surrounding a product, making it more visible to search engine algorithms. It’s easy to see how significantly product reviews contribute to SEO.

Product Reviews Boost Traffic

There’s strong statistical evidence suggesting that product reviews directly contribute to more traffic. That is in both site traffic and foot traffic. Let the numbers do the talking:

  • 92 percent—From potential customers who check a local business online, this number would actually visit a store if there are positive reviews online, according to Invespcro.
  • 90 percent—This is the number of customers who will visit a store, restaurant, or retail outlet after reading online reviews.
  • 31 percent—Almost one-third of all customers who visit a site are more likely to spend time on the site after reading positive reviews.

The mere presence of positive product reviews is enough to attract new customers. As mentioned above, a vast majority of customers are likely to trust a brand or a business if it has reviews online.

Product Reviews Drive Sales

The biggest problems most e-ventures face is not necessarily attracting traffic, but retaining that traffic. Essentially, businesses struggle to convert incoming traffic into paying customers. One factor that can encourage this transformation process is the product review.

A vast majority of online shoppers consult product reviews posted by other customers before making a purchasing decision. People are also more likely to make a purchase if the product has reviews from other customers. It turns out that consumers trust product reviews as much as a personal recommendation, a trust factor that drives sales.

Product reviews not only build trust between businesses and consumers, but they also build trust between consumers and particular products. A number of reviews, with more positives than negatives, is really what a decent product needs to become a bestseller.

The Product Review is a Form of Customer Engagement

Reviews do not just attract potential customers and nudge sales, they are also great for building brand loyalty. When it comes down to it, a product review is essentially a form of customer engagement. Customers pose reviews when they are engaged enough to provide feedback to a business.

Reviews are great for keeping customers coming back to your business. For example, a customer may post an initial review after purchasing a product. Then, some return to edit the comment based on the performance of the product, indicating that they are engaging with the website on a continual basis.

Customer engagement is essential for brand building, boosting search engine rankings, and driving traffic. Product reviews are perfect for doing all three at once.

It’s Free Feedback

Product reviews don’t provide just a quantitative benefit, the quality of the content matters to businesses too. What’s really in a product review? Valuable information about the performance of the product the business sells.

Companies often spend thousands of dollars doing beta testing or running trials to evaluate how a product performs in the wild. Businesses can largely ditch these costs when there are hundreds of customers posting reviews online.

In addition, customers tend to talk about the shipping and handling of a product in their reviews. This information is crucial to e-commerce ventures. Businesses can use the feedback to improve services and address pain points instead of spending money on surveys.

Getting customers to leave feedback with emailed surveys is difficult and largely ineffective. Product reviews, written for other consumers than the seller, are not as difficult to obtain. This feedback is invaluable for ensuring better quality for products and online services.

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, product reviews are powerful tools that influence consumers and nudge them towards making a final purchasing decision. Reviews build trust and credibility between customers and brands. There’s nothing better to enhance the authority of an e-commerce site than a product review.

For these reasons, businesses should invest in generating more product reviews online. Of course, this doesn’t mean they should be fabricated. Genuine reviews are important for building trust as well as for receiving legitimate feedback. Your brand or website can also attract more customers with the presence of reviews.

Product reviews matter to brick-and-mortar stores, perhaps even more so than online businesses. Positive online reviews are more effective at driving traffic than paid advertising, according to multiple marketing studies and surveys.

Now that you are aware of the crucial role product reviews play in improving sales, traffic, and brand credibility, it’s time to get customers to start posting reviews. Invest in a pain-free process that generates reviews to benefit your business in the long run.

How Positive Online Reviews Can Build Trust For Your Business.

Digital Global JV™

No matter how good you think your brand, products, and services are, it is what the customers think that is the most important thing. These days a lot of people will make a purchase based solely on the number of positive reviews that a company or product has.

Online reviews provide social proof. Persuasive copywriting will certainly help to make create sales or encourage people to opt into your email list but social proof usually makes the real difference. In this article, we will explain how positive online reviews can build trust for your business and how you can get more of them.

Online Reviews Sell

If you are comparing two similar products on an ecommerce website and one product has no reviews and the other has hundreds of positive reviews which product are you more likely to purchase? Of course, you will go for the product that has the reviews. Your customers think like this too, after all, your customers are thinking about themselves, they are not thinking about your well-being, and we understand this.

  • Social proof – online reviews provide the proof that potential customers are looking for that what you are offering is a good investment
  • They are not the first – very few people want to be the first to purchase a product. Online reviews make them feel comfortable as others have bought before them
  • More reviews equal more sales – the more positive reviews that you have the more likely you are to make a lot of sales

You will get more attention with Positive Online Reviews

It is in your interest to increase the visibility of your brand wherever you can. If your website has a lot of positive reviews then it is far more likely to rank higher in search engines such as Bing and Google.

Online Reviews build Trust

If potential customers are seeing a continuous stream of online reviews on your website then there is a much greater probability that they will trust your brand and what you offer. Of course, if all of your reviews are poor then this will have the opposite effect. People are skeptical of businesses that have all 5-star reviews as well.

A search engine will treat every online review as new content. The algorithms for search engines look for this, and if you have a website where there are always new reviews added then higher rankings should follow. Visitors will view your website as more as an authority when you rank high in the search engines.

In 2017 there was a survey conducted by Bright Local asking people what the minimum online rating was for them to consider doing business with a company. The results were very interesting:

  • 1 out of 5-star rating – in 2017 only 4% of those surveyed said they would do business. In 2015 this was 13%
  • 2 out of 5-star rating – in 2017 8% said they would do business which is a drop from 14% in 2015
  • 3 out of 5-star rating – in 2017 39% felt comfortable doing business which is a drop from 45% in 2015
  • 4 out of 5-star rating – this was again 39% in 2017 and was an increase over the 2015 figure of 20%
  • 5 out of 5-star rating – this was 9% in 2017 and was at 8% for the two previous years

What does this tell you? Well in general people do not expect a business to be perfect. The sweet spot from this survey is between 3 and 4 stars. So getting the odd bad review is not going to destroy your overall credibility.

You get Essential Feedback from Online Reviews

No business, product or service is perfect. Your customers should be encouraged to provide you with totally honest feedback both good and bad. When you have reviews like this then people will trust your brand more. Honest reviews help you to:

  • Identify what you are really doing well
  • Identify what you are not doing so well
  • Highlight problems with products and services which you can fix
  • Show that you are a trustworthy business that responds to the views of your customers

How to get more Online Reviews for your Business

The best way to get more online reviews for your business is to ask for them. Some people will leave a review as a matter of course but most people require a little gentle persuasion. When you are asking for reviews you need to consider the following:

Meditation & Mindfulness: 6 Minutes To Calm

Asking at the Right time

Timing is very important when you are asking your customers for a review. If you leave it too late then the likelihood of you receiving a review will go way down. People that purchased something from you weeks ago, or even days ago, will be the least responsive.

You need to hit your customers with a review request when their excitement of what you have provided is at its peak. So ask for a review:

  • Immediately after the customer has purchased your product or service
  • As soon as the customer has used your product or service
  • Straight after the customer has benefited from using your product or service

The last one of these timings can be difficult to gauge. Some people will use products and services immediately while others will take a day or two. You need to test this to see what works best. Take a look at how your competitors handle this too.

Ask for a Review in the correct way

You need to use the right approach when asking a customer for a review. If you get this wrong then you will reduce your chances significantly. A good approach is to just ask the customer outright to provide a review if they liked what you provided. Make your request personal and don’t use templates.

There are a number of ways that you can contact customers to request a review:

  • Send an email
  • Call them on the phone
  • Send a text message
  • Use a push notification
  • Ask them in person (if you operate a restaurant for example)

If you have a lot of customers then look at ways that you can automate the process of asking for reviews. There are tools available to help you with this.

Give your Customers a choice

Although it is good to have reviews on your website it is likely that you will benefit from having positive reviews on a number of other websites too. You can set up a specific page for reviews where your customer can choose where to leave them. Here are some suggestions for external website reviews:

  • Google My Business
  • Facebook Reviews
  • Yelp and other business directories
  • Amazon

If you are in the travel or hotel business then you can ask customers to write you a review on Trip Advisor for example. Restaurant owners can ask for Zomato reviews. Find out which review websites are the most relevant for your business.

Flux Charger Plus…

Don’t you just hate it when you get that low battery warning comes up on your smartphone? We all love our smartphones but they do consume a lot of battery power very quickly. If you are on the go and don’t have access to a wall outlet to charge your phone then what do you do? Most people cannot be without their phones for very long.

This is where a flux charger plus is worth its weight in gold. You can give your phone, or any other electronic device that is chargeable by USB, a well-needed boost, In fact with many portable chargers you can fully charge your phone pretty quickly. It is a very useful thing to carry around with you wherever you are.

What you need to know about Portable Chargers

The charging ability of a portable charger is dependent on two things:

  1. The capacity of the portable charger in milliampere hours (mAh)
  2. The battery capacity of the device that you want to charge (also mAh)

So, for example, the battery capacity of the new iPhone X is around 2,716 mAh while the battery capacity of the new Samsung S9 is around 3,000 mAh. If you have a larger device such as a tablet then the batteries tend to be larger. The battery capacity of the iPad 9.7 is around 8,800 mAh.

The charging capacity of a portable charger is very important. The higher the capacity the more you will pay for your portable charger. Chargers are never 100% efficient, so always go for a portable charger with more capacity than the battery in your device. We recommend that the capacity of your device batter should not be more than 70% of your charger’s capability.

Portable chargers have a USB output port so you will need the appropriate cable handy to charge your device. The other important thing to bear in mind with portable chargers is their size and weight. If you want really high charging capacity then the charger is going to be pretty big and not so convenient to carry around with you.

If you are going to be away from an electrical outlet for a while then you need to work out how many times you will need to charge your phone while you are away. Maybe you are going on a long flight and need your device to be available for several hours.

You will need a portable charger that has the capacity to charge your device more than once. To give you some idea here most modern smartphones will last between 7 and 13 hours when fully charged. The iPhone 7 will last just over 7 hours while the Samsung Galaxy S8+ will keep going for around 13 hours.

Portable chargers usually come in three different sizes. You can get a small pocket-sized charger that may not have the capacity to fully charge your phone but can give it a good boost. Then there are the convenient size chargers that will fully charge and at the top end are the large chargers for those long trips.

We will take a look at those convenient portable chargers that will charge a phone at least once in this review. These have a range of capacities from 10,000 mAh to over 50,000 mAh and are still small enough to conveniently carry around.

The Flux Plus Portable Charger 10,000 mAh

In all of our portable charger tests, we really liked the Flux 10,000 mAh charger. It has a large capacity yet it is really slim and easy to carry around. Not only that but it provides wireless charging as well as standard USB charging. Charging of three devices can happen at once with wireless and the two USB outlets.

It is also water resistant according to the manufacturer. If you like our flex charger plus review so far, then keep on reading as we got more for you.

Charging performance is very impressive with the Flux Plus. We were able to charge an iPhone 6 from zero to full charge in around 45 minutes. When the Flux Plus is fully charged it will hold this charge for around a month. There are 4 blue LED’s that indicate the amount of charge remaining.

“The Flex Charger Plus is sleek and stylish in our modern era of technology we use today.”

RAVPower Portable Charger 26,800 mAh

With the RAVPower portable charger, you get a lot of charging capacity for your money. The RAVPower name has been around a while and the company has a good reputation in the market. If you are looking for a portable charger to charge your phone a number of times then this could be a good option.

There are a number of safety features on the RAVPower to protect against voltage and current surges as well as short circuits and overcharging.

The RAVPower is a fairly large portable charger as you might expect with the high capacity. It weighs in at 372 grams and the dimensions are 172 mm x 80 mm x 20 mm. The 2 standard USB ports are 5 volts and 3.4 amps max and the USB-C is 5 volts at 3 amps, 9-15 volts at 2 amps or 20 volts at 1.5 amps. Price is around $64 which is fine for 26,800 mAh power.

  • Capacity (mAh): 26,800
  • Weight (grams): 372
  • Dimensions (mm): 172x80x20
  • Average price: $64

Hokulani Portable Charger 10,000 mAh

This is another portable charger that has a wireless charging feature. To make use of the wireless charging facility your smartphone needs to have support for this. If your phone can accept wireless charging then just place the Hokulani portable charger on top of it.

There are also two USB ports where you can use the correct cables to charge your devices. So you can have three devices charging at once if you can use the wireless charging. This is another slim design charger which is convenient to carry around with you.

The Hokulani has a number of safety features built in that will protect it from short circuits as well as voltage and current surges and overcharging. Charging of devices performance is good and you should be able to charge a flat smartphone battery in about an hour.

The design is sleek and you can get the charger in either black or white. There is a good looking numerical digital display which tells you the remaining charge power. If you like watching videos on your smartphone then the Honuki can act as a kickstand or holder for your phone.

Considering its 10,000 mAh this is a very lightweight portable charger. It only weighs around 180 grams and measures 129 mm x 66mm x 12 mm. It has good all-around performance and you can normally pick up a Honuki for around $29.

  • Capacity (mAh): 10,000
  • Weight (grams): 180
  • Dimensions (mm): 129x66x12
  • Average price: $29
  • Charging performance: Very good

Anker PowerCore II Portable Charger 20,100 mAh

This is another well-known brand that has a good reputation in the portable charger market. The company offers a range of chargers ranging from low capacity slim models to the high powered PowerCore II.

This is a great portable charger if you will need to charge a device such as a smartphone a number of times. You can fully charge the PowerCore II in around 5 hours if you use the Quick Charge compatible cable.

The Anker PowerCore II uses PowerIQ 2.0 technology and using one of the two USB ports you should be able to charge most smartphones from zero to 100% in around 1 hour and 30 minutes. This is an improvement on the old PowerIQ 1.0 technology which would take an average of 2 hours.

You will appreciate the slim design of the Anker PowerCore II. The ergonomics are good too with the special texture to ensure a good grip. You can charge all kinds of devices such as smartphones, digital cameras, smartwatches and tablets.

If you have an iPhone 8 then you should be able to fully charge it around 6 times with the 20,100 mAh capacity. The unit weighs 369 grams and the dimensions are 170 mm x 61 mm x 23 mm. There is one 18 watt USB port which at 5-9 volts delivers 2 amps and a 12-watt port at 5 volts and 2.4 amps. You can get a PowerCore II for around $60.

CXLiy Solar Portable Charger 25,000 mAh

If you spend a lot of time on outdoor pursuits such as hiking and camping then take a look at the CXLiv Solar portable charger. You can charge the unit in the normal way by using the supplied AC adapter or you can use the built-in solar panel to charge with direct sunlight. You can hang this portable charger on your backpack using the convenient hook.

The style of the CXLix is interesting with its red banding around the sides. It uses protective material to ensure that it is waterproof which is important for those outdoor excursions. Also, a good idea for the outdoor life is the built-in flashlight which you can use in normal mode or SOS flashing mode.

This powerful portable charger has three USB ports so you can charge 3 devices at once. The solar panel works reasonably well but you certainly need direct sunlight to be effective. It will take a few hours of direct sunlight to fully charge the pack if it has zero charge.

Maxoak Portable Charger 50,000 mAh

We just couldn’t resist including this mega power portable charger in our review. One of the reasons is that it is a good idea for family outings where everyone has a smartphone or tablet device. In fact, you can charge smartphones, tablets, and laptops all at the same time with the Maxoak.

There are an amazing 6 ports with the Maxoak portable charger. If you are just charging smartphones then iPhones and Samsung Galaxy models should get around 11 full charges from this unit. You can even charge a laptop battery twice with this pack.

Despite the power of the Maxoak it is still fairly small in size measuring just 205 mm x 135 mm x 33 mm which is why we included it in our tests. The unit is quite heavy though at 1257 grams.

There are 2 ports on the Maxoak that have a 5 volt and 2.1 amp output, another 2 ports with a 5 volt and 1 amp output, one laptop port with a 20 volt and 5 amp output and one digital camera port with a 12 volt and 2.5 amp output. Like the other portable chargers in this review, there are a number of safety features to protect devices.

  • Capacity (mAh): 50,000
  • Weight (grams): 1257

  • Average price: $136

The Verdict

We highly recommend the Flux Charger Plus 10,000 mAh portable charger. It has good capacity (enough for most situations) and the charging performance is excellent. The style of this charger is nice too and it is very convenient to carry around. And what’s not to like about the price?

If you really feel that you need more power then the RAVPower 26,800 mAh is a good choice. The iMuto X6 is a nice portable charger with a high capacity too at a reasonable price. Solar power charging of the portable pack seems like a good idea but in reality, it wasn’t very practical.
